He has just released his new album, Bwiti Soul. Having moved to France at the age of seven, Cousin Brown, whose full name is Cousin Ogandaga Fonclaud, was born in Port-Gentil, in the Ogoou\u00e9-Maritime province, to a Gabonese mother and a Martiniquais father.<\/p>\n
His musical journey began at Jos\u00e9phine Baker School, founded by Bernard Lavilliers, where he took his first steps as a songwriter, composer, and performer. Early on, he was deeply influenced by the music and legend of James Brown, which led him to participate in various competitions imitating the American icon\u2019s performances.
